Invisible Water Usage – Gr 3 & 4

Activity Introduction

The learners will gain a basic understanding of the water footprint of common food items, using a sandwich as an example. The learners will work out the water footprint of a sandwich they have created, using pictographs.

Grade: 3 - 4

Resources Required: Worksheets, recycled bottles (e.g., coke, milk, and water) to give the learners a visible representation of a litre.
