Activity Introduction

A formal test covering: • Sequence of energy and food chain. • Showing how the energy from the sun is transferred through food by plants to animals / a person’s body. • Explain the input and output of energy from a selection of machines and appliances

Grade: 4

Prior Knowledge: Term 3 topics including: • Energy from the sun • Energy • Input and Output energy • Movement and musical instruments • Vibrations and sound • Noise pollution

Resources Required: Assessment Printouts for each learner (downloadable below)

Key Concepts & Skills: Reading with comprehension, Reporting back on what they have learnt; using critical and creative thinking; working effectively as individuals; organise and managing themselves and their activities responsibly and effectively; communicating effectively using visual, symbolic and language skills in various modes; using science and technology effectively and critically showing responsibility towards the environment.
