Building a Greener Future with Recycling at Raisethorpe Secondary
One of the new Sustainable Schools, Raisethorpe Secondary, has launched an exciting recycling program that collects paper, scrap metal, and plastic to promote sustainability while raising funds. So far, the initiative has successfully generated R2 003 through the sale of these recyclable materials, as reflected in the invoices from our local recycling partners. The money raised will go towards purchasing eco-friendly benches and compost for a new school garden, planned to be planted this September. This garden will serve as a hands-on learning space, helping students develop a strong sense of environmental responsibility.
