Shoprite is celebrating South Africa’s community gardeners through the Act for Change Food Garden Competition — a national initiative recognising local heroes who are growing change from the ground up.
With R1 million in tailored support prizes, the competition honours food gardens that promote local nutrition, environmental sustainability, and community upliftment.
Who can enter: Community-based food gardens (not private home gardens or companies).
Entries close: 30 November 2025
Prizes: Up to R225 000 in support for top gardens
