In celebration of National Marine Week, we will be hosting an Exhibition Action Day to showcase the talent and creativity of Sustainable Schools Eco Clubs!
The day would involve an environmental educational aspect focused around the Marine & Coast theme, which would be followed by the learners performing/ showcasing their art to the group.
We will be partnering with ocean-themed organisations to join us in the environmental education component, and to be part of our panel of judges.
What will learners learn: A fun, interactive lesson on the importance of oceans in our ecosystems on land.
For your marine-themed artwork, the following types of media can be submitted:
- Short film (maximum 3 minutes)
- Sculpture
- Painting/drawing
- Poem (maximum 1 minute)
- Performance (maximum 3 minutes)
- Photography
- Digital art, e.g., TikToks, Reels, etc., (Maximum 30 seconds)
- Fashion design using recycled materials
- Song (maximum 3 minutes)
Be sure to dazzle the judges by using recycled/ upcycled materials! There are exciting prizes for learners to win!!

The following media can be submitted and considered for the competition even if your school/ learners are unable to attend the event:
Paintings/drawings, sculptures, digital art, short films, photography and fashion designs.
All physical art works need to be dropped off at our offices at Zeekoevlei or in Tokai between Monday, 9th October – Wednesday, 11th October.
No late submissions will be considered.
