MoveUp by Nedbank, is excited to present the Solar Schools Challenge, a dynamic programme designed to empower high school learners and spark their passion for renewable energy. This hands-on initiative begins with an energy assessment where learners analyse their school’s energy usage and receive actionable insights to reduce consumption.
Learners will dive deeper into the world of solar energy through guided courses, gaining essential knowledge on solar power, energy measurement, optimisation techniques, and how to promote cleaner energy practices in their communities. The challenge ends with the top 50 entries receiving support from the MoveUp team to develop a winning solar proposal, giving them a chance to win incredible prizes, including:
● R1,000 cash rewards
● Solar systems worth R250,000
● R25,000 study bursaries
