    • Remove alien invasive vegetation

Our marine and coastal environments, particularly our estuaries, rely on freshwater recharge from rivers. If our catchment and river systems become clogged with alien invasive plants, that freshwater recharge is diminished. This is why it is important to control and, if possible, eradicate invasive plants upstream. Involve the learners in the process by asking them to identify alien invasive vegetation and then help teachers, staff members, and groundskeepers to remove them.
