Biome Posters – Grade 9-11

Activity Introduction

In this activity learners will create and present posters on a biome of their choosing including the environmental challenges and human influences on the biome.

Grade: 9-11

Prior Knowledge: Characteristics of Biomes.

Resources Required: Learner Worksheets, poster materials, internet or library access for research.

Key Concepts & Skills: Research skills and practices, Critical thinking, Problem-solving, Synthesizing information, Initiative

Extra Notes: Learners should be provided with printed resources (readings) if they do not have internet access.

Duration: 1 hour
