BirdlifeSA’s Bird of the Year 2025 is the Red-billed Oxpecker – this lesson is the seventh in the Bird of the Year 2025 lesson series. Learners will explore the idea of mutualism and symbiosis through a physical task set up like an experiment.

Grade: 4-7

Resources Required: Downloaded (and printed if preferred) Lesson Plan document and Poster, a big object (could be a ball).
