Desalination Comprehension – Grade 8-10

Activity Introduction

This activity involves a comprehension based on a text exploring the topic of Desalination. Learners will read the text and then answer the related questions. The comprehension can be used as an assessment activity.

Grade: 8-10

Resources Required: Copies of the Learner Worksheet for each learner. Internet access to download additional resource links and references.

Extra Notes: Lesson can be extended to include a class debate on the pros and cons of desalination as an option to meet growing water demands.

Duration: 30 - 45 minutes.

Level of teacher facilitation: Low - Moderate
