Plant Food Experiment – Grade 5-7

Activity Introduction

The learners will conduct experiments looking at factors that affect plant growth.

Grade: 5-7

Resources Required: Jars, bean plants, water, box, liquid plant food, Learner Worksheets (downloadable below)

Extra Notes: This is a group activity. Bean seedlings will need to be grown beforehand (a how-to guide is included in the Activity Plan)

Duration: Initial setup: 1 hour, Observation: daily over two weeks (10 days), Write up: 30 minutes
