EMS Needs & Wants Assessment – Grade 7 Term 2

Activity Introduction

For the assignment, learners will conduct a survey in their own community and identify the wants and needs in their community. Learners will complete the assignment at home and submit in Week 6 or 7. This is a prepared assessment focused on introducing additional ESD cross-curriculum topics to create a better foundation for the learners and create awareness of their community needs and wants and their social responsibilities.

Grade: 7

Resources Required: Assessment Printouts for each learner and Memorandum for marking (downloadable below)

Key Concepts & Skills: The assignment aims to equip learners with real-life skills for personal development and the development of the community, Identify and solve problems, Work effectively as an individual, Collect, analyse and evaluate information

Duration: 2 Lessons over 2 weeks
