LO Community Service Volunteerism Project – Grade 10 Term 3

Activity Introduction

This is a Formal Project focused on addressing social issues that negatively impact the local and global communities and creating awareness of each student’s social responsibility toward their environment and community. Learners will volunteer at a local organisation and report back on their experiences.

Grade: 10

Key Concepts & Skills: • Tackling real issues and finding solutions • Understanding the interaction between society and the natural environment • Caring about their environment and the well-being of all who live there • Communicating ideas and information. • Interpretation of data and drawing conclusions • Participating in Civic Life
