Activity Introduction

Use this interactive lesson to deepen your learners understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and explore South Africa’s commitment to achieving them. The lesson includes group activities and develops digital literacy skills through tools like PowerPoint, Google Forms, and online videos. Feel free to adapt the lesson to suit your classroom needs and available resources.

Grade: 10-11

Resources Required: Copies of the Learner Worksheet for each group. Internet access to access resource links, videos and google form for learner answers. Optional: If using the Powerpoint presentation a projector and connection is required.

Extra Notes: The lesson could be extended to include a class debate on a topic related to the SDGs, linking with an English lesson, or expanded on as a groupwork project where learners create more formal presentations.
