Activity Introduction

Terrariums are very useful educational tools that can be used to demonstrate a variety of concepts, from the water cycle to the differences between living and non-living things. Make a terrarium for or with your class in this fun practical activity.

Grade: 4-6

Resources Required: Activity Plan, Materials for making terrariums: an old 2l plastic bottle, gravel or small rocks, potting soil, water, small indoor or tropical plants

Duration: 1 hour
