Walk-to-read campaign Create awareness to all community members about the importance of literacy. To get all community members and learners to understand the benefits of being literate which will impact the way they think about the world around them. Grade R – 7 learners and educators English, Afrikaans, Life Skills – lessons include “reading with understanding’, comprehensions, ‘drop all and read’ program done weekly by the entire school including the staff members, story books being read in the classroom, posters made about the importance of reading
Anti-litter campaign Create awareness to all community members and learners that the litter in our communities is absolutely high due to everyone’s lack of prioritising the environment over their own needs. people and learners tend to throw their litter wherever they are instead of looking for a bin or keeping their litter till they find a bin. its easier to just throw their litter on the ground for someone else to pick up. our goal is show the community and the learners the amount of litter collected in the school grounds and community areas so that they become more self-aware of their actions and how it greatly impacts the environment. Grade R – 7 learners and educators NS, EMS, Life Skills, Life Orientation – lessons are taught about careers in waste management, reduce reuse and recycle waste, the importance of cleaning the environment and keeping it healthy and clean.
Outreach program The learners initiative to help the underprivileged community members and other organizations by collecting donations of non-perishable food items, clothes, blankets, toiletries, and the bottle caps to assist with a wheelchair donation. Grade R – 7 learners and educators EMS, LO, Life Skills – lessons are taught about poverty

Recycling campaign Reduce the amount of litter by recycling as much of the waste collected by the community members and learners. Grade R – 7 learners and educators, and community members NS, EMS – lessons are taught about careers in waste management, reduce reuse and recycle waste
Vegetable garden Grow healthy vegetables to aid in the consumption of healthy vegetables. The school has a Nutrition Program and the school’s vegetable garden aids in providing other kinds of vegetables that the learners enjoy which is added to their menu for the day. this ensures they are eating healthy grown vegetables and are shown the vegetables which they eat and how it is grown from start to finish. aiming to promote more vegetable gardens in their own homes (most of the learners have a small vegetable garden at home already) Grade 3- 7 learners NS and Life Skills – lesson is taught on healthy eating and balanced diets

Solar panels Solar panels have been installed in the administration block and the grounds men quarters block as those have been identified as they highest energy consumption areas of the school. Goal is to drastically reduce the electricity consumption and wastage of the school and thereby assisting the environment in creating a sustainable source of energy. School EMS, NS, Technology – lessons are taught on renewable energy sources and energy conservation
