Donate leftover, safe-to-use food and unavoidable food waste from the school kitchen to Laluka Farm to support their animals and composting efforts, strengthening community connections while promoting values of care, responsibility, and sustainability. Support learners in need by sourcing donors through the Waterberg Academy Educational Trust to help secure bursaries and partially reduce school fees, promoting social responsibility, community involvement, and heritage values. Continue the donation system and review its effectiveness by the end of 2025. Continue the bursary support system throughout 2025, with annual review of participation, bursaries awarded, and feedback from learners, staff, and donors. Board and Finance department

Implement a school-wide waste and resource management plan to promote recycling and improve the cleanliness and sustainability of the school grounds. Launch an eco-brick collection impact project to reduce waste at Waterberg Academy by collecting and using eco-bricks, while educating learners on plastic waste reduction and sustainable practices. Conduct fundraising activities throughout the year and use the funds raised to implement the school-wide recycling plan at the start of 2026. Final deadline for eco-brick submissions is 1st November 2025, with regular collection and progress reviews as they are handed in. Gr R- Matric Plastic free July
