IMPRESSIVE INTERNS

The first group of Interns completed their 12-month internship at the end of July. Of the 22 interns who started the programme,12 individuals have already secured permanent job placements.

A farewell was held on the 30th June at the Tygerberg Environmental Education Centre. City of Cape Town Reserve Managers, CTEET staff and colleagues attended the event. Each intern was afforded the opportunity to present on a years worth of work and experiences. The presentations granted fellow interns and managers a sneak peek into the various conservation activities the City of Cape Town Nature Reserve’s have to offer. Interns were awarded with Completion Certificates and this was followed by a wonderful lunch in celebration of the end of the internship year.

We wish each and every one of the interns all the best for their future endeavors, and look forward to seeing them grow in the conservation field.

Following the success of this meaningful programme, with further funding, we will be continuing the Internship programme with a newly appointed intake of 12 interns, running from July 2017 to June 2018.
